Wonderful Viburnum Sweet Talker Garden Plant

Fragrant viburnums are a favorite, but rarely are they fast and easy to grow - until now. From Tom Ranney and his team at NCSU, Sweet Talker viburnum offers deep pink tubular flowers that greet you in the early spring with a sweet, spicy, honey scent. The attractive, semi-evergreen foliage is a glossy forest green with an overcast of burgundy which intensifies in the autumn. Based on this hybrid's lineage of V. x bodnantense x V. suspensum, it is heat tolerant, viburnum beetle resistant, reasonably tolerant to deer and highly salt tolerant. It's great for hedging, privacy screens, or as a small tree.
