Peony plants bear an attractive, glossy green foliage that reaches 2'-3' in height with a similar spread. But their popularity is due mainly to their flowers. Peony plants bloom in late spring or early summer. There are peony plants that are indigenous to China, Europe and the Western U.S. Peony Bowl of Cream (Paeonia) Gold Medal 1981. Large, cream-white, bowl-shaped flowers to 8" across. Smaller inner petals hide bright yellow stamens. Robust plant with bright green foliage. APS National Exhibition Grand Champion 1994. Grows 30" tall. "The Queen of Garden Flowers!" We offer the best fully double, free blooming varieties. Flowers are 5-7" across. During late spring-early summer, they fill the garden with fragrance; long lasting, ideal for cutting. Plant as yard dividers or in small groups in border. They like rich soil, full sun and open areas.
