Wonderful Microsorium musifolium Crocydyllus Rare Crocodile Fern Garden Plant

FERN: A fern is any one of a group of about 12,000 species of plants. Unlike mosses they have xylem and phloem (making them vascular plants). They have stems, leaves, and roots like other vascular plants. Ferns do not have either seeds or flowers (they reproduce via spores). The Crocodile Fern (Microsorium musifolium 'Crocodyllus') is native to Malaysia, Indonesia, New Guinea and the Philippines. It gets its name from the fact that the fronds (leaves) look like a crocodiles back. It is a very tough fern, doing well in bright, indirect light. It is suited to indoors, patios and almost anywhere, avoiding direct sun. It is a great house plant. Keep evenly moist, but not wet or dry. Do not allow the plant to stand in water. Fertilize in the spring. If used outdoors, protect from freezes and frosts. Easy to grow house plant.
