Wonderful Echeveria Takasago No Okina Variegated Ruffle Succulent Garden Plant
Takasago no okina has a stout stem and leaves that grow up to 8 inches or longer. The leaves have big undulate wrinkles on their margins and are emerald green to reddish-brown. The new leaves are lighter-colored, and the old ones darker-colored. The plant requires lots of light and is suitable for open-air planting. When there are great temperature variations and sufficient light, the whole plant will turn vividly red. Propagation by leaf-cutting is not always successful, so it's generally reproduced by stem cutting.
Takasago no okina is one of the rarest and most striking species of Echeveria succulent available, and is generally selected by gardeners for its unuique beauty, hardiness, and compactness. This plant is usually kept in pots, but in warm and dry enough climates it can be planted outside in any well-draining, partly shady spot. It makes a great addition to succulent gardens and can spruce up a rock garden as well.
Ships to the US mainland only.
