Colocasia esculenta 'Black Sapphire Gecko' is a moderately fast grower with an upright, clumping habit. Large arrow shaped foliage emerges green and as it matures goes from a deep purple to jet black with undersides in maroon to gray, arching out 4' tall and wide on average. For best growth and color provide with direct sun to partial shade. Average to high water needs, keeps soil consistently moist.
